Rent a kayak or paddleboard and see the sites at Lady Bird Lake, located in the heart of downtown Austin. Hang out till dusk March - early fall and watch the bats take flight.
Just a few minutes north, hang out at Russel park or launch your boat at one of the boat ramps. Great for a chill day on the water
Continously voted one of the top beaches in the country. Avoid the traffic and hop on the ferry in downtown Bradenton to take you to the island.

Located at the end of Ana Maria Island, this beach is very family friendly and includes public restrooms and changing stalls.

Massive waterpark located 10 mins from Casa Blue ATX. Have a great time with 1.5 million sq ft of waterslides.
A splash pad & playground for the kids, covered pavilions and a walking trail down by the lake, this park has somethign for everyone. Kayak rentals available.
~ 2 miles from Cottage on the Canal, is an awesome splash pad and playground for kids. While you're there, take a walk on the Riverwalk along the water and watch out for dolphins and manatees.
